Office Policies

At Pearl Pediatric Dental, we like to offer as many forms of communication as possible. Our phones are available during normal office hours. We're also available through texting during open and closed hours.
Dental emergencies will be responded to via text within 24 hours.
We ask for updated contact information at each visit; please let us know if there are any changes to your phone number, email address, or mailing address so that we can properly communicate with you.

Approved individuals may bring your child to their visit with proper documentation completed from our office.
A legal guardian is required to complete all paperwork and consent to treatment.
We understand that parents can offer emotional support during procedures. Therefore, we welcome you to accompany your child for all dental procedures, including sedation during induction.

All paperwork must be completed prior to the appointment. If you need help with the paperwork, please arrive 10 minutes early and we will be happy to assist you.
We do understand that unexpected events can occur. We ask that you please give us 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment to avoid a $50 fee per child.

Our office offers an open bay for cleaning appointments to allow siblings to be seen together. We find that this also allows other children to see how fun and easy dentistry is which can ease their nerves.
We understand that some children may be timid or have sensory overload in areas like this. Therefore, we are happy to provide a private room to allow for a calmer environment as requested by parents / patients.

At Pearl Pediatric Dental the doctors indicate xrays based on individualized patient needs and according to the American Academy of Pediatric Dental guidelines.
We are unable to proceed with dental cleanings when X-rays are refused, as a complete examination cannot be performed without them. X-rays are a critical part of diagnosing and ensuring your oral health is thoroughly evaluated.

We ask that payment be made upon arrival to the appointment to check the patient in.
We accept all major credit cards, cash, and Care Credit.
As a courtesy, we will bill claims to your insurance. Once payment is received from your insurance, a credit or balance may remain. Credits are reviewed on a weekly basis and refunded to the original form of payment. Balances are required to be paid within 30 days.

Dental insurance policies are between you and your dental insurance company.

Our office treats your child based on his/her needs, not what the insurance company dictates. Therefore, recommended services may not fall within your insurance plan's limitations.
If there are any changes in your child's dental insurance, we ask that you inform us of these changes at least 24 hours prior to the appointment to allow time for eligibility and verification.

As your child's dental home, we hope to establish a clear and honest relationship between the parent and the dental provider at Pearl Pediatric Dental.
